We all know that fish is a great source of Omega 3, which is an essential fatty acid we need for optimal function. You might think that you can get enough Omega 3 through plant based fats, but that’s not the case. In order for our body to recognize the plant based Omegas ALA, we need to have Marine based omegas, EPA and DHA, with it. Read more about the important omegas here
The way we live today, and the food most people eat, gives us too much of the very destructive Omega 6. However Omega 6 from grass fed and free range animals as well as plants are very healthy for you. It’s when you get the heated vegetable oils (as in fried foods) and corn feed, conventional meat that you get too much of the bad Omega 6! Check out this article

So how do you get your Marine Omega’s in?
One of the ways we enjoy is by eating wild caught fish, or in an easy tasteful lunch as this Tuna Salad.
The Tuna Salad you can be spiced up in many different ways; add green peas, corn, shredded carrot or olives; however the recipe I’ll share with you today is a plain Tuna Salad.

I prefer to use the canned tuna from Wild Planet. It is wild tuna, sustainable pole and line caught and then its 100% pure tuna. Also the cans are BPA free. It’s more expensive, but also the real deal 🙂
We always have Organic Avocado mayonnaise in the fridge, which I use to mix a Tuna Salad, Potato Salad or just a dressing!

Here is the base recipe on my Tuna Salad.

2 cans of Wild Planet Tuna
4 tbsp Organic Mayonnaise
1/4 diced red onion
Salt and pepper to your taste. I prefer to use the Rancher Steak Rub from Wild Tree!
